Collaboration with Professional Bodies
The IET recognises the need to make it as easy as possible for policymakers to find the best advice and for the engineering profession to "speak with one voice" on key issues. To this end, the IET has a clear plan to establish strong partnerships with companies, academic bodies and other institutions and we continue to forge new relationships to reach out to new technical communities and also establish collaborative partnerships with other professional bodies. Our partnership with the Institution of Engineering (IEI) and India Semiconductor Association (ISA) are examples of our commitment and aims at building stronger links between engineering professionals, policy-makers and the wider public.
MOU with Institution of Engineers (India)
We signed an MOU with the Institution of Engineering (India) – IEI, in May 2010 that allows us to share our offerings with the members of the IEI. The agreement also focuses on linking the engineering and technology communities in India with knowledge, qualifications and networking across the world enabled by the IET.
MOU with India Semiconductor Association (ISA)
We signed an MOU with India Semiconductor Association (ISA) in May 2012 to encourage the exchange and dissemination of technical information, and to promote understanding and cooperation among the members of the ISA and the IET in various areas including publications, events, standards, educational material and awards.
